Birthday Cards

These are birthday cards I managed to make over the long weekend.  I made several of each of these to include in my stack of cards to send to the troops.

Memorial Day

I encourage and challenge all of my paper crafting friends to create a stack of cards to send to a current service member.  There are a lot of organizations that you can send your stack of cards to; Operation Write Home is just one of them.  Be sure to follow their guidelines.  Help those who serve stay in touch with loved ones by sending out a stack of cards.

Never forget ...let's stay focused on why we have a long weekend!  Take the time to honor those who have served our great country, particularly those who have made the ultimate sacrifice and have died defending our freedom.

Dotty For You Birthday Cards

These birthday cards came together so quickly and with the Dotty For You paper packet you just can't go wrong.  The paper is so versatile that you don't need to spend much time sprucing it up - it's good all on it's own!

These were designed based on this week's sketch from Freshly Made Sketches.  Click on the link at the left for 'SOTM & Specials' for information on how to get the Dotty for You paper packet.  It's only available until May 31st.

Celebrate - Dotty for You

I'm loving this Dotty For You paper packet.  24 coordinating sheets of paper, 2 each of 12 patterns -double-sided.  Oh so cute!  Click on the "SOTM & Specials" link at the upper left of the screen for details on how to get yours!

Here's a card I made with Dotty For You - for my sister's birthday.  I got the sketch here.

I was going to post my Dotty For You mini album but I kinda messed up  - just waiting for an extended reach hole punch so I can finish the cover.  My album is a virtual CASE of the fabulous Vicki Wiziniuk's mini album - her paper crafting is awesome!  I always say - why mess with perfection?  Why reinvent the wheel?   See Vicki's album here.  Isn't it the cutest thing ever?  The only things I did differently - I used the CTMH Cricut® Art Philosopny cartridge instead of the punches she used and I used my Sizzix (old school, huh?) for the words on the pages.

Fun Layout - Dotty For You

This is a layout I put together with the National Scrapbooking Month Dotty For You paper packet.  I got the sketch at the Scrappiest Blogspot and it didn't take much time at all to put together.  It's actually a very simple, but oh so cute page!  I love the bright colors of the Dotty For You papers against the Kraft cardstock.  I plan on adding a hidden journaling tag when I add my photos.  I'll place it behind the photo on the left.

Supplies are all CTMH unless otherwise specified:

Paper:  Dotty For You B&Ts, Kraft, Sweet Leaf, Lagoon, Smoothie and Buttercup cardstock
Ink:  Buttercup, Smoothie, Lagoon, Sweet Leaf, Sunset
Other:  Cricut® Art Philosophy cartridge, Sparkles, Bitty Sparkles, Dimensional Elements - On Target (retired), Sizzix Shadow Box Alphabet

I'm still working on getting photos of my Pemberley layouts and the cute little Dotty For You mini album.    Spent a lot of time cleaning house and doing laundry today!

Way Behind!

I'm so far behind in getting things posted here!  I've been crazy busy!  I'll try to post a few recent projects before the weekend is over!  I have a Pemberley scrapbook layout and the cutest ever mini album made with the Dotty For You paper packet.

In the meantime, check out the SOTM & Specials link over on the left to see this month's Stamp of the Month and the Dotty for You promotion.  Both are totally awesome!

Dotty for You & April SOTM Cards

Haven’t had much time for paper crafting lately, but I managed to make these two very simple cards … no frills! The first uses a sketch from Friday Mashup. I chose to leave the tag very plain. The Dotty for You papers are oh so cute; no need to get carried away.

The next card was just something I made while playing around with the April stamp of the month. I started with an old sketch (SSS47) from The Sweet Stop Sketch Challenge and ended up with this. I used one of the background stamps included in the stamp set. It changed my plain white card into patterned paper right before my eyes!
